Norfolk , VA :2,268 customers without power after vehicles crashes into power utility power at Tidewater Drive and Burksdale Road on Wednesday , June 24th 2015

Dispatch received a call at 3:10 PM that a vehicle had ran into a power pole on Tidewater Drive. According to Dominion Virginia Power, 2200 customers were originally without power. Norfolk, Va. '?? About 1400 customers are without power after an accident in Norfolk caused a pole to come down.Norfolk Police reported on Twitter that all southbound lanes at Tidewater Drive and Sheppard Avenue are closed due to the accident. The estimated time for restoration for the remaining customers is about 6 PM, according to Bonita Harris of Dominion Virginia Power.
