One person died after a two-vehicle collision Sunday on Harrison Avenue.

Crews transported Thomas Brooks, 28, to an area hospital after a truck hit the car he was a passenger in.

Brooks died at the hospital from injuries sustained in the crash, a Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputy said.

The crash happened near Rybolt Road at Harrison. The driver of the car received minor injuries. Medics treated the unnamed driver at an area hospital and released that person.

A family of three was in the truck. No one in the vehicle was seriously injured, deputies said.

Everyone wore seatbelts in the incident. Alcohol was not believed to be a factor in the crash.
