Springfield,MA : Adams man dies after 2-car crash in North Adams on May, Sunday 13th 2018

A 74-year-old Adams man died after suffering what police are calling a "medical emergency" as he drove his car on Church Street in North Adams Sunday night. He lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a second car, the Berkshire Eagle reported.
Stanley Bednarz was pronounced dead at the North Adams campus of Berkshire Medical Center shortly after the accident. Three other people in the second vehicle were taken to the hospital with what police said were "non-life threatening" injuries.
According to investigators, Bednarz was traveling south on Church Street when he lost control of his Nissan sedan, which struck a 2008 Hyundai SUV in the opposite lane.
Drugs and alcohol were ruled out as factors, North Adams police said.
Church Street was closed for approximately five hours as the Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section conducted its investigation.
