Sturgis, MI : Man injured in motorcycle crash in Fabius Township on Sunday, August 14, 2016

A White Pigeon man received serious injuries Sunday in a motorcycle crash in Fabius Township.

Michigan State Police said John Benson, 69, was driving east on Gleason Road near King Road just after 3 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, witnesses told police.

He was taken to Three Rivers Health then airlifted to Bronson Methodist Hospital by West Michigan AirCare.

Police said Benson was not wearing a helmet. The crash is under investigation. Assisting was Fabius-Park Fire Department.
