Orlando, FL : Trooper seriously injured in motorcycle crash on State Road 417 in Orange County
A trooper was seriously injured after his motorcycle crashed Friday in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash happened just before 9 a.m. on State Road 417 at mile marker 17.
Trooper Jeff Williams, 35, was traveling north on SR-417 on a marked FHP motorcycle. According to FHP, the motorcycle experienced a mechanical issue, which caused Williams to lose control.
The motorcycle left the road and hit a power pole, and Williams was thrown from the vehicle.
Williams was taken to Osceola Regional Medical Center with serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
