A man was killed Monday in a crash at Marksheffel Road and North Carefree Circle in El Paso County, the Colorado State Patrol said.
The driver of a Nissan Altima, whose identity has not been released, was turning left onto Marksheffel from Carefree just east of Colorado Springs when a Dodge pickup truck traveling south on Marksheffel hit the Nissan on the driver's side, the State Patrol said.
The collision happened shortly before 3:30 p.m., the State Patrol said. Firefighters had to extricate the deceased man from his car. The truck driver declined medical treatment.
