Shawano County, WI : Tigerton man killed in Shawano County crash on State Highway 29 in the Town of Seneca on Thursday, September 11, 2014

A driver killed in a crash between a minivan and an SUV in Shawano County was identified by the sheriff's office Friday as Albert Voelz, 79, of Tigerton. The crash was reported shortly after 4:30 p.m. Thursday on State Highway 29 in the Town of Seneca, according to a news release from the Shawano County Sheriff's Office. Voelz was driving the minivan eastbound on Highway 29 when he attempted to cross lanes to get to Old 29 Road. The vehicle was then struck by the eastbound SUV. Voelz was pronounced dead at the scene, and the two occupants of the SUV suffered injuries that are not life-threatening, according to the release.
