I-95 reopens near Mims after deadly motorcycle crash

I-95 has reopened after a deadly crash involving a motorcyclist and a semi-truck shut down all southbound lanes in northern Brevard County for more than five hours.The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Friday, according to Brevard County Fire Rescue. All southbound lanes were closed near State Road 46 until close to noon.At one point, Florida Highway Patrol troopers had to force traffic stuck on the interstate to back up and exit the southbound side. Drivers were directed to use U.S. Highway 1 as an alternate route.After the accident was cleared, troopers kept the southbound lanes closed to investigate the crash before reopening the interstate.
