PROVIDENCE, RI : Providence man, 25, facing charges in fatal crash on Tuesday, 9th October 2018
A 25-year-old convicted felon is headed back to jail on Tuesday after he was charged with driving under the influence in an early-morning crash that took the life of a 28-year-old Providence man.
Brian Pagan Torres faces a collection of charges stemming from the Monday crash that killed Frank Perry Jr., the father of two boys, ages 2 and 8.
The Providence man was behind the wheel of a landscaping truck when he hit a vehicle driven by Perry, killing Perry and critically injuring a passenger, according to authorities.
Pagan Torres then fled the scene of the crash at Atwells Avenue and Valley Street, and moved to a nearby gas station, where someone who saw the crash detained him until police arrived, according to a police report.
