MOUNT KISCO, NY : 9 injured in crash involving school bus in Mount Kisco on Wednesday, 26th April 2023

Four people, including a teenager, sustained life-threatening injuries in a head-on crash involving a school bus in Westchester County on Wednesday, police say.

It happened around 2:15 p.m. at Lake Road and Crow Hill Road in Mount Kisco.

New Castle police say an unlicensed 16-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle while rounding a curve, crossed into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a mini school bus from Yorktown Central School District.

The teenage driver and his three passengers were all taken to Westchester Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. The ages of his passengers are unknown.

Police say all of the passengers on the bus were taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
