LA PORTE, CA : 1 arrested following DUI crash on Quincy La Porte Road, 1 dead on Wednesday, 16th August 2023

A 59-year-old man died in a two-car crash yesterday on Quincy La Porte Road, south of Forbestown Road, the CHP said.

The CHP said around 7:05 p.m. a 22-year-old male was driving a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 southbound on Quincy La Porte Road, south of Forbestown Road, at an undetermined speed.

The 59-year-old male from Clipper Mills was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Blazer northbound on Quincy La Porte Road, south of Forbestown Road, at an undetermined speed.

Both vehicles collided head-on and as a result of the collision, the 59-year-old died.

The driver of the Dodge Ram, identified as Kaylob Rice, showed objective signs and symptoms of drug impairment and was arrested for DUI causing injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
