STRATFORD, CT : Man dies in one vehicle crash on Saturday, 13th October 2018

A passenger who didn’t have his seatbelt on was killed late night when the vehicle he was in went into a ditch and struck a tree on County Highway 104 in the town.The driver may face alcohol-related charges, authorities said.

Fulton County Sheriff Richard Giardino said Friday that John Jaiken, 51, of County Highway 104, was fatally injured in the accident at 9:30 p.m. Thursday. He said Jaiken was pronounced dead at the scene by Fulton County Coroner Margaret Luck.

Giardino said the driver of the car — Tyler Foster, 18, of Stratford — may be charged in the crash.
