Fort Worth, TX : Hit-and-run crashes kill 2 Fort Worth men in 2 weeks, with drivers still at large on Saturday, 6th October 2018
Fort Worth police are asking for help solving a hit-and-run that killed a 54-year-old man night.
The victim, who was not identified, was walking in the 1300 block of South Riverside Drive about 8 p.m. when he was struck by a pickup, police said.
The driver continued north on Riverside and turned east on Rosedale Street.
Police described the suspect vehicle as a white Ford single-cab truck, possibly a 2004 model. It likely has damage to its front bumper. It was occupied by three men.
The city's latest hit-and-run comes about a week after a Fort Worth man was struck and killed on a street outside his home.
Shellie Alfred Carroll, 57, was crossing the 2000 block of Sylvania Avenue about 7 a.m. Sept. 26 when he was knocked to the ground by a vehicle, police said. A northbound pickup hit him a second time.
Neither driver who hit Carroll stopped to help. Police have no description of either suspect vehicle.
