A Gray Court man died Wednesday night after hitting a tree and overturning his car.
Robert Harper, 54, of 285 Barnyard Road, Gray Court died at 9:48 p.m. Wednesday, said Laurens County Coroner Nick Nichols.
Harper was driving his 1999 Mercedes Benz east along Quercus Run, about five miles west of Fountain Inn, when he drove left of the centerline, said Lance Cpl. Gary Miller with the S.C. Highway Patrol. Harper then over-corrected, lost control of his car and drove off the right side of the road, where he struck a tree and overturned, Miller said.
He wasn't wearing a seat belt and had no passengers in the car, Miller said.
