INDIANAPOLIS, IN : Deadly accident under investigation on Indy west side on Saturday, 31st October, 2020

A deadly accident investigation is underway on Indy’s west side where police say one person has died.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred around 6:10 p.m. at S. Lynhurst Drive and W. Southern Avenue between a pick up truck and a motorcycle.

Police say the motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene.

At this time, investigators are unsure of the circumstances that caused the collision between the motorcycle and the pick up truck and cannot say if alcohol or speed played a role in the outcome.

Police say the driver of the pick up truck was taken to the hospital for a blood draw, as part of standard procedure for fatal accidents.
