Minquadale, DE : A crash closed a portion of U.S. 13 near Minquadale on Saturday, 4th January, 2020

Multiple crashes in Delaware forced road closures throughout the afternoon Saturday.

The I-95 south ramp to Del. 141 was closed due to a crash, according to the Delaware Department of Transportation. The crash occurred around 3:10 p.m.

Significant delays were experienced on I-95 between Newport and Wilmington, according to DelDOT. The was also a backup in the north lanes of Del. 141. The crash was cleared shortly before 4:30 p.m.Earlier in the afternoon, U.S. 13 was closed for about 30 minutes just north of I-495 due to a crash, according to DelDOT. The ramp from I-495 south to U.S. 13 was also closed.

This earlier crash occurred around 1:15 p.m. The road reopened after the wreck was cleared at about 1:40 p.m.

Multiple firetrucks and state police responded to the scene of the crash near the U.S. 13 and I-495 interchange. At least three vehicles were stopped at the scene of the crash.
