Boca Raton, FL : Driver, 86, dies in crash on I-95 ramp in Boca Raton on Wednesday, 29th April, 2020

It’s considered one of the more dangerous ramps on Interstate 95 and a fatal crash may have proved it again.
An 86-year-old Jensen Beach man died when he lost control of his SUV as he was trying to enter I-95 from Congress Avenue in Boca Raton during the morning rush hour, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
It happened about 5:32 a.m. Wednesday when the driver failed to make a right turn at the top of the entrance ramp to southbound I-95, investigators said.He struck the raised median on Congress Avenue then hit a concrete barrier wall on the ramp, FHP said.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and he was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. FHP did not release his name citing state privacy laws.
The crash caused morning traffic delays that lasted several hours as the investigation was conducted and the debris was cleared.
