SUFFIELD, CT : Serious crash closes main road in Suffield on Sunday, 21st July 2019

Part of Route 187 is closed in both directions due to a serious motor vehicle crash.

At least one motor vehicle struck a pole at about 3 p.m., Sunday, police said.

Motorists are asked to avoid the road, which is also known as South Grand Street, and use alternative routes to stay away from the area. The crash occurred near the intersection of Sheldon Street, police said.

Police did not have immediate information about any injuries or about how many vehicles were involved in the crash.
