Motorcyclist dies in US 82 collision in El Dorado Arkansas

A motorcyclist died Sunday in a collision with a car on U.S. 65 in Searcy County, authorities said.Ryan M. Gendreau, 35, of Sabula, Iowa, was riding a 2006 Harley Davidson north on U.S. 65 about noon south of Marshall when a 1984 Cadillac attempted to cross the highway from South Mountain Road to Highland Trail Road, according to an Arkansas State Police report.As the Cadillac merged across the highway, it collided with the motorcycle in the northbound lane, police said.Gendreau died from unspecified injuries. The Cadillac driver, identified as 30-year-old Nicole T. Matz of St. Joe, was not injured.
Conditions at the time were described as clear and dry.The death marked the 377th fatality in a traffic accident in Arkansas so far this year, according to preliminary figures.
