Gainesville,FL : Merritt Island woman dies in crash on may, thursday 4th 2017

20-year-old Merritt Island woman died in a one-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon on Interstate 10 in Columbia County, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

Qurtajha Dijonna Smith died in the 3:15 p.m. crash, an FHP news release said.Smith was the passenger in a car driven by Lachelle Tiarra Folston, 21, also of Merritt Island, the release said. The two were traveling east on I-10 when Folston’s 2005 Scion left the roadway and rolled before hitting a tree.

Both were wearing seat belts, the release said.
