Davis, CA : Driver hurt in rollover crash on Tuesday, 20th March 2018

Reckless driving believed to be the cause of a solo vehicle rollover that injured a motorist in Davis on Tuesday morning.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the unidentified driver was exiting eastbound Interstate 80 at Mace Boulevard at a high rate of speed shortly after 4:30 a.m. when the vehicle struck a pole and rolled onto its side, trapping the driver.

Firefighters were called to the scene to extricate the man, who was transported to an area hospital with minor to moderate injuries, the CHP reported. The crash remains under investigation, though impaired driving was not believed to be a factor, officers said.
