PAYNE COUNTY, OK : 20-year-old dead after Payne County motorcycle crash on Saturday, 23rd September 2023

A 20-year-old is dead following a motorcycle crash in Payne County, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).

OHP said it happened around 2 a.m. on Saturday at Lone Chimney and Ripley, about 1 mile east of Glencoe.

According to OHP, 20-year-old Paydyn Lanious of Jennings was driving a Honda motorcycle when he left road for an unknown reason, hit a tree and was thrown from the motorcycle into a tree.

Lanious was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead around 4:00 p.m.

OHP said the crashed was caused by “failure to maintain lane.”
