Sun Valley, NV : Boy was pronounced dead at the scene after he was hit by vehicle on Saturday morning October 18th 2014

Washoe County sheriff's deputies are investigating the death of a child who was struck by a vehicle in Sun Valley. Washoe County sheriff's spokesman Bob Harmon says authorities responded to a 911 call about 10:20 a.m. Saturday along Sun Valley Boulevard near 7th Avenue just north of Reno. He says the boy was pronounced dead at the scene. Harmon says the driver of the vehicle has been cooperating with investigators. The boy's name has not been released.
