Mayfield, KY : One person injured in two-car crash in Graves County on Friday afternoon, February 5, 2016

One person was injured Friday afternoon after a two-car crash in Graves County, Kentucky.

Graves County Sheriff Dewayne Redmon says deputies were dispatched to the intersection of KY 440 and KY 945 for the report of a wreck with injuries at 4:15 p.m on Friday.

Investigation revealed that Justin Landers, 27, of Melber, Ky., had been south bound on KY 440.

Alexander Kennedy, 21, had been east bound on KY 945.

Kennedy pulled into the path of Landers and Landers was unable to avoid a collision.

Landers vehicle struck Kennedy’s vehicle in the left front.

The impact caused the engine of Kennedy’s vehicle to become dislodged from the vehicle.

Kennedy was transported to Jackson Purchase Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Landers refused treatment at the scene.

Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.

Deputies were assisted on scene by; Mayfield/Graves County EMS, Mayfield/Graves County Fire & Rescue along with Affordable and Gibson’s Towing Services.
