Spartanburg,SC : Union man dies from single vehicle collision on July, Saturday 8th 2017

A Union man died Saturday night from injuries he sustained in a single vehicle collision on Highway 18 near Kelly Road.
According to the Union County Coroner’s Office, Robert G. Sprouse, 68, of Maple Street, died at Spartanburg Medical Center following the collision that occurred at 6:04 p.m. Saturday. Sprouse was driving a 2006 Chevrolet pickup westbound on Highway 18 when he veered left off of the roadway, according to State Highway Patrol.
The vehicle struck a mail box then a gas line and a tree, according to State Highway Patrol. Sprouse was wearing a seatbelt. Sprouse was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries, according to the coroner. Two passengers in the vehicle were also taken to Spartanburg Medical Center for treatment, according to State Highway Patrol.
