Tyngsborough, MA : Tyngsboro man critically injured after vehicle crash on Dunstable Road Saturday May 28, 2016.
The 23-year-old Tyngsboro man who crashed into a tree on Dunstable Road Friday evening is reported to be in critical but stable condition.
Police have identified the operator as Zachary Puleo, who was driving a 2005 Cadillac STS.
"He is currently in critical condition at Tufts Medical," said Jessica Sacco of John Guilfoil Public Relations. "He has multiple injuries, but he is stable at this time."
Puleo crashed the vehicle near the Charles George landfill around 7 p.m. Friday and was taken by Boston MedFlight helicopter to Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Sacco said Puleo was "entrapped in the car and removed with the Jaws of Life."
The cause of the accident is still under investigation by Tyngsboro police and Massachusetts State Police.
"Speed may have been a contributing factor, however we have not drawn any conclusions at this point and will not until the investigation is completed," Tyngsboro Police Chief Richard Howe said Saturday.
