San Carlos Park, FL : Cape Coral man, Fort Myers woman killed in crash on Saturday, 13th July 2019

A Cape Coral man and a Fort Myers woman were killed Saturday and a Fort Myers man injured in a motorcycle-truck crash along U.S. 41 in San Carlos Park.

The Florida Highway Patrol said Adam Lee Herring, 26, of Cape Coral, was driving a motorcycle at a high rate of speed when he struck the side of a pickup truck.

Herring died at the scene.

A passenger in the truck, Rosalba Cortes Lorenzo, 46, died later at Lee Memorial Hospital. The driver of the truck, Lorenzo Mendoza Pardo, 41, suffered minor injuries.

Herring was wearing a helmet, the FHP said. Lorenzo and Pardo were also wearing seatbelts, troopers said.
