Deerfield, MA : Passenger injured in a car crash on Greenfield Road Wednesday afternoon, July 27, 2016
A woman who was a passenger sustained minor injuries as the result of a car crash on Greenfield Road Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Deerfield Police got the call about the accident at 4:38 p.m. The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Brooklyn, New York, crashed the Toyota MR2 into a stone wall next to the entrance to Hillside Pizza, failing to correctly turn into the parking lot.
She was uninjured, but accompanied the passenger, a 20-year-old woman from Amherst, when she was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield for treatment.
Both women were wearing seat belts, said Deerfield Sgt. Harry Ruddock.
The wall struck by the car will need repairs, he said.
