Redmond, WA : Teenager serious injuries after high-speed crash on Wednesday December 16 2015

A teenager has serious injuries after crashing into a power pole and splitting his car in half on Wednesday night.
The 17-year-old driver crashed near Redmond Way and NE 80th Street just after 9:00 p.m. Wednesday, Redmond police said. The teen remains at Harborview Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
Workers with Puget Sound Energy had to cut power to lines that landed on one half of the car.
Investigators are still looking into the cause of the crash but say the teen was driving at a high-rate of speed.
