LANE COUNTY, KS : Cow on the highway causes rollover accident in Lane County on Friday, 7th July 2023

A woman is in serious condition after her car hit a cow on the highway causing a rollover crash.

The Kansas Highway Patrol said that shortly after 4 a.m. on Friday, 66-year-old Paula Smallwood was driving east on K96 when she hit a cow, rolled her car and hit a driveway entrance at the Amy elevator. Smallwood was trapped inside the car and had to be freed by EMS. She was taken to Scott County Hospital with serious injuries.
