Brentwood,NH : Man sentenced in fatal DUI crash on August, Tuesday 29th 2017
A New Hampshire man has been sentenced to up to 22 years in prison for causing a fatal crash while driving under the influence of fentanyl.
WMUR-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2vCRprT ) 46-year-old Todd Gurley, of Hampstead, was sentenced to 10 ½ to 22 years in prison on Tuesday. Gurley pleaded guilty to several charges including negligent homicide and aggravated DUI.
Police say Gurley hit a westbound car on Route 111 in Salem in 2016. The force of the crash pushed that car into oncoming traffic, striking another car.
Police say 69-year-old Dorothy Bushek, of Atkinson, died at the scene. She was a passenger in the third car.
Gurley has also been ordered to complete a drug and alcohol program. His license will be suspended for at least 10 years.
