Monett, MO : Vehicle hits several headstones in cemetery on Sunday, June 25, 2017

A Pierce City woman was injured in a wreck at noon on Sunday on Highway 37 in northern Monett.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Ina Brown, 84, of Pierce City, was driving a 2007 Lincoln Continental eastbound when her vehicle swerved to avoid another vehicle that pulled into her path. This caused Brown's vehicle to run off the roadway and strike several headstones in a cemetery.

Brown suffered minor injuries and was transported to Cox Monett Hospital.

She was wearing a safety device, and the vehicle sustained moderate damage.
