Geddes, SD :Police identify victims in Geddes crash that killed 2 on Tuesday, June 30th 2015
Police have identified the four people involved in a crash early this morning on Interstate 690 in the town of Geddes that left two dead.Both the driver, Heather Ringquiest, 24, and front-seat passenger, Patrick Long, 32, were killed after Ringquiest went off the right shoulder on I-690 west.The Chevrolet Lumina sedan became wrapped around a light pole. Ringquiest, of 218 Seneca Ave., Baldwinsville and Long, of 4155 Wetzel Road, Liverpool, were pronounced dead at the scene.Both backseat passengers were also injured. Shannon Henry, 24, of 6978 Sand Hill Road, East Syracuse, suffered multiple skull fractures, a fractured pelvis, a fractured left arm and other injuries to her extremities, Geddes police Chief Vic Gillette said.Jamie Springer, 31, 1238 Butternut St., suffered a broken collarbone and broken elbow, Gillette said.Both Henry and Springer were taken to Upstate University Hospital. Henry is currently listed in serious condition, while Springer is listed in stable condition.One of the passengers told police the four friends were at Springer's apartment and were en route to drop Long off at his residence when the crash occurred, Gillette said.The cause of the crash remains under investigation. The Onondaga County sheriff's accident reconstruction team is also investigating. The results from that investigation are expected in one to two days, Gillette said.
