New Franklin ,OH : Three People injured after fatal motorcycle Crash along SR 93 on Sunday ,June 7th 2015

The Ohio State Highway Patrol Canton Post is currently investigating a serious injury motorcycle crash that occurred just after 7:30 p.m. Sunday on State Route 93 near Nimisila Road.

An orange 1985 Harley Davidson was traveling southbound on State Route 93, north of Nimisila Road, when the driver went off the right side of the roadway striking a utility pole, two mailboxes and an embankment.

Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the motorcycle.

The driver, Christopher Hiffner, of Tuslaw, was taken to Akron General Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Passenger Lori Hiffner, also of Tuslaw was taken to Akron General Hospital with incapacitating injuries.

Speed appears to be a factor in the crash. There was no safety equipment used by either occupant.

Alcohol appears to be a factor. The crash remains under investigation.
