SCOTT COUNTY, MO : Driver injured in 2-vehicle crash on I-55 on Sunday, 17th November 2024

Emergency crews rushed to the scene of a two-vehicle crash on Interstate 55 in Scott County on Sunday night, November 17.

The crash happened around 7:41 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-55 about 1 mile north of Benton.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a car driven by a 33-year-old Cape Girardeau man hit the rear of a semi-truck.

MSHP said the semi went off the right side of the road, hit a tree and flipped.
