Motorcycle crash kills rider near Corbett Oregon

One man is dead after crashing his motorcycle near Corbett Wednesday.The crash was reported about 6 p.m. in the 53900 block of East Larch Mountain Road when the rider lost control of his motorcycle and hit a tree, said Lt. Steve Alexander, a Multnomah County Sheriff's spokesman. No other vehicles or people were involved.Emergency crews responded to the scene and attempted to revive the man but he died at the scene, Alexander said. One lane on East Larch Mountain Road is expected to be closed temporarily while an investigation is conducted.
The identity of the man is being withheld by deputies until his family is notified.
