Saint Louis, MO : St. Louis area man died after being hit by speeding driver on Friday night, June 20, 2014
Police are looking for the driver of a speeding car that hit and killed a 54-year-old St. Louis-area man who was riding his bike.
Police say 54-year-old Rick Beard of Clayton died when he was hit by the car Friday night. He was riding his bicycle with full cycling gear on when he was hit. The car believed to be involved in the accident was found about a mile from the accident in north St. Louis.
Police believe the car might have been drag racing when Beard was hit.
Beard was a second lieutenant airborne ranger in the Army, who graduated with an MBA from Harvard University. He founded Cardinal Investment Advisors, which manages more than $80 billion in assets.
No arrests have been made.
