Man killed in high speed car crash on I-10 near Texas
Police say a 25-year-old man is dead, and another is in the hospital after a high-speed accident on Interstate 10 near downtown El Paso. It happened around 1:25 a.m. Monday, when an officer on the interstate saw the car speeding down the westbound lanes. Police said the driver of a four-door Subaru, Constantine Coloduros, was going at high speed when he crashed into a concrete support for an overpass at the Mesa off ramp When police and firefighters arrived at the scene Coloduros was unresponsive. Emergency crews performed CPR on Coloduros for about 10-20 minutes until paramedics rushed him to University Medical Center. Investigators told KFOX14 that one officer saw the man speeding more than 100 mph before the crash happened. Michael Zamora, passenger in the Subaru, was taken to UMC with non-life threatening injuries. All westbound traffic on I-10 West was forced to exit at Cotton Street during the early-morning commute.
