Abilene, TX : Bicyclist killed in wreck on Saturday, August 20, 2016

A man who was biking north in the 1100 block of Judge Ely died when his bicycle was hit from behind by a pickup truck.

The accident occurred at 10 p.m. Saturday.

An Abilene Police Department spokesman said that "alcohol does not appear to be a factor," but the driver of the pickup consented to a "blood draw."

The bike didn't appear to have rear-facing reflectors, according to police.

The identity of the man has not been released.
