A Foley woman is in stable condition after she was injured during a crash on Ala. 59 in Robertsdale Friday.

Sunny R. Melton, 35, was taken by a helicopter to USA Medical Center in Mobile for injuries sustained after the car she was driving crashed into a dump truck while they were both traveling northbound along a stretch of Ala. 59 that is for one-way traffic.

Robertsdale police report that at 8:58 a.m., Melton was driving a 2015 Kia Optima when she attempted to switch lanes and swerved into the truck.

The truck, owned by a trucking company in Loxley, was driven by 43-year-old Sean R. Miller of Spanish Fort. He was uninjured.

No citations were issued.
