Albemarle, N.C : Woman hit, killed by vehicle in Stanly County on Wednesday night, December 9, 2015

A woman was hit and killed wednesday night by a vehicle crossing East Main Street in Albemarle, police said.
Beulah Davis, 75, was taken to a nearby hospital, then flown to Carolinas Medical Center-Main, where she died a short time later.
The driver of the van that hit Davis, Teressa White, was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
