Diamond Bluff, WI : Motorcyclist injured in crash on U.S. 35 in the Pierce County on Sunday, November 6, 2016

A Minnesota man was injured following a motorcycle-deer accident on U.S. 35 near 945th Street in the Pierce County town of Diamond Bluff.

According to a press release from the Pierce County sheriff’s office:
Mark Hawkinson, 69, of Lauderdale, Minn. was traveling north in a 1998 Honda motorcycle when a deer entered the roadway from the south ditch and struck the motorcycle.

Hawkinson, who was “complaining of a leg injury,” was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Red Wing, Minn. His injuries remain undetermined.

Red Wing EMS and Ellsworth first responders also assisted on the scene.
