Anniston, AL : Ohatchee woman dies after the motorcycle collided with pickup in Alexandria early Saturday morning, July 2, 2016
An Ohatchee woman died Saturday morning after the motorcycle she was a passenger on collided with a Ford pickup, officials said.
Mary Beth Lambert, 47, was pronounced dead at the scene near the intersection of U.S. 431 and Alabama 144 in Alexandria around 4 a.m., Calhoun County Assistant Coroner Jay Bowden said by phone. The collision occurred around 3:30 a.m., the assistant coroner said.
“She will be sent to Huntsville for an autopsy but we suspect the cause of death will be blunt force trauma,” he said.
Lambert was wearing a helmet, Bowden said.
Steven Daniel Blohm, 43, of Jacksonville was driving the motorcycle, a 2007 Harley Davidson, according to state troopers. He and the driver of the 2004 Ford F-150 were uninjured, according to an email from Senior Trooper Chuck Daniel.
