CISSNA PARK, IL : Cissna Park man killed in crash on Wednesday, 9th November 2016

A 54-year-old Cissna Park man was killed when his tractor collided with a large truck Wednesday, according to Vermilion County Coroner Peggy Johnson.

Mark S. Schmid was pronounced dead at Carle Hoopeston Regional Hospital at 4:05 p.m. Wednesday, according to Johnson.

The collision happened at the intersection of 300 North and 1300 East in rural Cissna Park.

The crash is under investigation by the Vermilion County Coroner’s Office and the Iroquois County Sheriff’s Department. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning.
