MIDDLETOWN, CT : 2 people in critical condition from Route 9 collision in Middletown on Thursday, 28th September 2023

A two-vehicle crash on Route 9 in Middletown Thursday morning left two people with serious injuries.

The scene has since cleared and the roads reopened.

Both sides of the roadway were closed at one point.

Then, the state Department of Transportation reported that Route 9 southbound was closed between exits 27 and 24 for most of the morning commute. The northbound side had the left lane closed.
