WHITEHALL TOWNSHIP, PA : Whitehall woman 87 killed in two-vehicle collision on Friday, September 1, 2017

An 87-year-old Whitehall Township woman died Friday afternoon in a two-car head-on collision in the township, authorities said.

Josephine A. Nolt, 87, was a passenger in one of the cars in the 1:30 p.m. crash in the 2600 block of Range Road, the Lehigh County coroner’s office said.

Nolt was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital -Cedar Crest, where she was pronounced dead at 4:13 p.m., the coroner’s office said.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday to determine the exact cause of death.

Other injuries were reported in the crash.

Whitehall and Catasauqua fire companies were on the scene.
