Newark, OH : Two people were injured after vehicles collided on Saturday afternoon August 8th 2015

Two people were injured after a pair of vehicles collided Saturday afternoon.

Newark Fire Chief Pat Connor tells NBC4 two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision at Lewis Lane on Country Club Road.

One person was taken by medical helicopter to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with a severe head injury, according to Connor. A second person was taken to Licking Memorial Hospital.

Conditions of the victims are currently unknown.
