Appomattox, VA : Teen dies in single-car crash in Appomattox County on Saturday, November 26, 2016

Virginia State Police say a 17-year-old is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Appomattox County.

State Police say the crash occurred Saturday around 3:45 a.m. on Trent Hatchery Road. State Police say the driver of a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant ran off the left side of the road, struck a ditch and then hit a tree.

State Police identified the driver as Joshua W. Judy of Appomattox. State Police say the teen was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. State Police say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
