ATLANTA, GA : Atlanta police searching for suspect in deadly hit-and-run on Downtown Connector on Monday, 27h May 2024

Atlanta police said they’re searching for the driver in a deadly hit-and-run that happened on the Downtown Connector late Sunday night.

Police said they responded to a car accident on I-85 NB near 17th Street NW around 11:50 p.m.

Officers reportedly found the driver of a Kia Optima in critical condition. The driver was taken by ambulance to the hospital, where they died from their injuries.
