Charlotte, NC : Three seriously injured in northeast Charlotte crash on Monday , August 17th 2015

An early morning crash sent three people to the hospital and closed part East WT Harris Boulevard Monday.

The accident happened around 2 a.m. on East WT Harris Boulevard at Grier Road. Police say a driver ran a red light and hit the other car. Three people were pinned, extricated and taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The roadway was reopened around 5 a.m.

Police do not believe alcohol was involved.

No word on possible charges.
